In this globalization era, who is not familiar with social media? Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Linkedin, G +, and many more. Almost everyone around the world would have it, at least one social media accounts of any kind. Of social media, there developed something which is becoming a trend, for example yeti butting, mannequin challenge, PPAP, or many more.
All the trends that we can meet in social media, certainly have an impact for users of social media, both positive and negative. How does social media really influenced our lives and in society in General? Is it positive or negative. Let’s see below…
I don’t doubt that there are many reasons to love social media, but I only share 2
Communication. We live in a time where the world is open to us. We can communicate with anyone the world, at any time, with just a few keystrokes. We also share elements of our lives, from what we have pictures of ourselves and our lives. It’s like being part of that person’s world, though distance keeps you away and it is free.
Free campaign or promotion. Non-profits are seeing the benefits of using social media for awareness campaigns. Sites like Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and other cost effective way to spread the word and get support.
Social media makes limited social interaction face to face behind the screen. You can get the feeling of being social without having to go out and socialize.
It also shows a serious problem with distraction in today’s society. Cannot enjoy the world around us for an hour without tumbling back into that small digital safe.
When it come some challenges in social media, there are many people post the best action to share. They don’t care is it good or bad for them. “It’s viral and I must do it too”, maybe they think like that. Recently, it also happen among college girls who post and make hashtag “yeti butting”. The hot ladies which major are college girls sit on the yeti cooler and taken photo from behind.
Some people call this trend porn because they only wear underpants and also show up her butt. Well, you can acces pornography content in social media
I think that the effects of social media have been somewhat balanced, to be honest. There are many good things about it, and a lot of bad things. In the end, if you can keep your life in fact, use social networks as a small part of it, you should be fine.
